The Advisory Board sees itself as a lobbyist and intermediary for the concept of quality assurance.

§ 1 Members

The members of the Advisory Board comprise representatives of the Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie [Federation of the German Construction Industry] and the Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes [Central German Construction Industry Association], who themselves represent the businesses involved in sewer construction. Each association appoints no more than 3 members. Representatives of the managements of these associations attend the meetings in an advisory capacity.

§ 2 Tasks

The tasks of the Advisory Board are to advise the Gütegemeinschaft in all matters relating to quality assurance, to represent the interests of the enterprises organised in the associations and to send an Advisory Board member to the Executive Board of the Gütegemeinschaft.
